Why We Were Founded
Amity Matchmaking was founded with a simple goal: to create a safe space for singles to feel less alone, more empowered, and more self-aware as they navigate their unique dating journey. Both in the relationships I cultivate with my clients and in the relationships they build through their dating journey, Amity is an essential ingredient. It’s the starting point to aim for and the foundation of our success. It’s the quality in which I want to show up for them, as well as how I want all my singles to show up for each other.
Dating, especially within the LGBTQIA+ community, can be a vulnerable and deeply personal experience. There are few life decisions as impactful on our future - the available data suggests that not only does the right partner increase our mental, emotional, and financial well-being, being with the wrong partner can cause us harm and waste years of our life.

My professional background as an LGBTQIA+ matchmaker and date coach, combined with my personal experiences within the queer dating world, inspired me to establish Amity Matchmaking.
Whether you're navigating the complexities of finding your forever person, seeking queer matchmaking services to find intentional and meaningful connections, or looking for expert date coaching within the LGBTQIA+ community, I'm here to help. I've worked with a diverse range of individuals across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, providing guidance and support to those who are single, seeking companionship, and eager to make positive changes in their dating lives.
My goal is to help anyone, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or relationship status, achieve a more enriching and satisfying love life and, hopefully, enjoy the journey along the way.
There are so few services founded by and made for the LGBTQIA+ community. I hope Amity is one step towards changing that.

Before joining Amity Matchmaking, Angela spent over four years as a Senior Matchmaker and dating coach at an international, award-winning, psychology-led agency. There, she managed high-volume client relationships, conducted in-depth compatibility profiling, and oversaw rigorous candidate screening to ensure strong match suitability. She worked with a diverse range of clients, bringing both precision and genuine attunement to every search.
What distinguishes Angela is the clinical lens she brings to matchmaking. She holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, and her path has been shaped by a rare combination of clinical training and hands-on matchmaking expertise. Her background in psychological assessment means she doesn't just evaluate compatibility on the surface, she understands how people are wired, what they actually need in a partner, and what patterns tend to get in the way.
